Alameda County Fair is committed to promoting and protecting the privacy rights of individuals. It is our policy to limit and safeguard the privacy of all personal information collected.


All respondent personal information is provided voluntarily to Alameda County Fair (and/or partners and affiliates) through email requests, registration forms, contest entries, surveys, sign-ups and online purchases through our online ticketing service company. The Fair does not collect home or business email addresses or account information from visitors who browse our Internet sites.



We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users place an order through our online ticketing service company, subscribe to the newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for name, email address, mailing address, phone number. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Unless otherwise specified, individuals who provide contact information will be included in the Fair’s email bulletin distribution.

The Fair online ticketing system is through a third party, our ticketing service company, and all financial information provided by the customer is completely private and unshared with the Alameda County Fair. Credit Card information is for the sole purpose of billing for products purchased from their site and not shared with the Alameda County Fair. User information such as name and email are available to Alameda County Fair and is used to send updates on purchases or Fair news. Users may opt-out at any time, but will no longer receive updates on their latest purchase(s).

In some cases, customers may provide information for additional persons. For example, if multiple Season Passes are purchased, contact information for each pass holder may be included in the same transaction. Persons under age of 13 are not eligible to subscribe to the Fair’s email bulletin or provide any personal information.

Guests always have the option to remove themselves from the Fair’s distribution list by contacting us (see “Opt-in/Opt-out” below).

Demographic information collected may be used for targeted advertising or promotional campaigns. Statistical data may be used to evaluate favorability or response to content, programs and promotions offered by Alameda County Fair.


  • To improve customer service: Information helps us respond to customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
  • To personalize user experience:  Information is used in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use the services and resources provided on our Site.
  • To improve our Site and Products: Feedback is used to improve our products and services.
  • To send periodic emails: Email addresses are used to send User information and updates pertaining to their order or Fair news. It may also be used to respond to their inquiries, questions or other requests. If User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email or User may contact us via our Site.


Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. User may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.


SECURITY employs all reasonable and necessary precautions to protect personal information against loss, unauthorized access and illegal use or disclosure. Personal information is stored in a secure location and is accessible only by a limited number of authorized staff members. Periodic audits are conducted to ensure that proper information management policies and procedures are being followed.
