Dennis Miller

Dennis Miller scored his first $100 exacta as a 5th grader and never looked back. The thrill of the race and some serious cash was all it took to make him a fan for life.

Since then, his extraordinary knowledge of the sport – and knack for picking winners – have made him a recognized authority and mentor in Northern California horse racing circles, as well as an in-demand handicapping guru and blogger. Miller’s home base is currently in the Tri-Valley, as publicist and spokesperson for Pleasanton OTB and Alameda County Fair horse racing.

Throughout the year, Miller maintains a full schedule speaking to groups, hosting handicapping roundtables and running promotional events, including the highly successful Race to the Derby and Breeders’ Cup Fantasy contests.

Miller also co-hosts the popular Daily Handicapping Seminars at the Alameda and Sonoma county fairs each year, and serves as a guest speaker for horse racing seminars and special events at the California State Fair in Sacramento. Before joining Pleasanton OTB, Miller served 16 years as a sports writer who covered horse racing for the Oakland Tribune and other Alameda Newspaper Group publications. Since leaving the paper in March of 2008, Miller also successfully launched ACES Golf Lifestyle Magazine.

Miller makes frequent appearances at OTB events throughout the year and is always happy to talk “track” with racing fans.
